Fox RC2 Polaris General/S900/S1000
**Please note that any Fox RC2 shock set purchased from Shock Therapy is built to order. As such these orders can take from 4 to 6 weeks**
After running our General for a few days we realized two things: one, it is quite a work horse. Two, it is fast and a ton of fun. We felt it was quite under rated in the performance category and people needed to know what it was capable of. We have worked with FOX quite a bit over the years and they have some incredible shocks, but they didn't have plans for anything larger that a 2-inch shock for the GENERAL. Since the GENERAL shares suspension arms and shock lengths with the RZR S 900/1000, we decided to get a set of FOX 2.5 Podium RC2s and work up a package for the General that could do work in the morning and race in the afternoon!
FOX 2.5 Podium RC2 Shock
FOX 2.5 Podium RC2 Shocks
The 2.5-inch bore allows for greater damping force capability while allowing the shock to run at lower overall temperatures resulting in less fade and consistent damping. The internal bottom-out cup provides additional damping at the very end of the stroke to give you the ability to push your vehicle harder for longer with improved driver confidence. Less compression damping at ride-height gives improved comfort and traction while huge damping at the end of the stroke flattens out the biggest of bumps.
Adjustable Dual Speed Compression (DSC) lets you tune for optimal damping control at each phase of the stroke. The wide range adjustable rebound further allows you the ability to fine tune for any driving style, terrain, or course conditions.

Shocks
These really do add a lot of comfort to the ride, far superior to the factory shocks. I have the 4 seater general, 30 inch tires, 1.5" forward offset a-arms. Only complaint is that they were not labelled as to position (rear, front, right, left) , but a call to the tech line solved that question very quickly.

Best decision ever for the General!
With the past crazy covid summer and not alot to do, I fortunately found out that the wife truly enjoyed trail riding in the General and might be a bit crazy! She would probably love a 500 mile ride with Justin in the prerunner or a R&D thrash with Mitch! Lol! Back to review, It might be 5 degrees here today but just got back from 30 mile ride and Wow!!! The general is much more sport than utility now! Shock Therapy knocked it out of the park! Amazing!! If your on the fence about this investment, don't be worth every penny! Thank you Shock Therapy! Night and day difference
I own a 2017 general 4 1000. It had the standard single coil walker Evans shocks. Was always bottoming out, feeling the chatter and uncomfortable. Made the big decision to buy the rc2 kits from shock therapy. Hands down the best decision I have made. Even before making my own adjustments the ride quality is amazing. Do yourself a favor and spend the money now and enjoy the ride forever!
