When the Maverick was released two things were very apparent, most of the Commander’s suspension issues had been fixed in the Maverick and the addition of 102 horsepower! With the new power comes the need for the best riding suspension possible in order to keep the tire in constant contact with the ground which extends the life of the drive train and tires not to mention the better acceleration the added traction provides. We were able to test VIN number 12 on our private test track for multiple days and hundreds of miles to perfect the Maverick Ride Improvement System. The stock ride is very stiff through the “low speed” chop and rocks. Our Stage 1 Ride Improvement System (RIS) fixes this issue while simultaneously adding more bump stage to the shock for those big hits and jump landings. By making internal changes to the piston, valving and adjustor flow we are able to completely smooth out the ride to the point of not feeling the small chop and rocks that normally would rattle your teeth. Our customers report 100% ride quality improvements with the Stage 1 RIS and a 15% acceleration improvement due to the added traction.
The Stage 2 RIS offers a true, dual rate spring system which further smooths out the ride to the point of race car quality. We use the highest quality Eibach racing springs and Fox racing spring dividers and cross over rings to complete this impressive dual rate system. Combining this spring kit with the internal shock work of the stage one RIS makes for an incredible change to ride and speed potential over the roughest terrain. No matter which stage you decide on the improvement in smooth ride, acceleration and parts longevity is worth every penny.
