Ride Improvement System for Wild Cat Sport
The Sport is quite the capable off road UTV. After testing we noticed that the car was extremely stiff and harsh in just about all terrains. Small rocks, chop, whoops and trails are all very abusive on your body due to the stiffness in the factory system. Originally we felt a nice dual rate spring kit would be a great way to help with these issues but we found that in order to run a dual rate spring kit with cross over rings and a spring divider, the whole shock must be taken completely apart to install it. This is due to the lower spring perch design as well as the end cap design. We modified these things on our test car to see if the springs would help but we found that they were just a small improvement because the real problem with the ride quality is inside the shocks them selves. After we modified the piston design, valving and shaft flow we found the ride we were looking for. Nice and plush in the small chop and rocks but also retaining the incredible bump stage resistance for big jumps and wash outs to prevent bottoming out. The Sport all of a sudden rides like a bigger car the carries much more weight, smooth and planted but still keeping the light weight agility people like about the Sport. Unfortunately, we can't offer JUST a spring kit since the ride quality problems are in the shock and since you can't install a dual rate spring kit without taking the shock apart. So, we offer a Ride Improvement System combining both the internal shock mods that are needed as well as the dual rate spring kit to give the best possible ride for your needs. On all RIS systems, we install Shrader valves in the reservoir caps so that you can charge your shocks with nitrogen with out the use of special tools.
