Stage 1 RIS, internal shock work
After months of testing our Wildcat XX we are proud to release our RIS kit for the car. In the stock configuration the car rides amazing compared to other stock UTV's in it's class. The plush ride quality is something we feel is very impressive. But, we found that you can bottom the car our pretty easy with just moderate driving speeds. So our internal shock mods (which include: oil viscosity changes, piston mods, adjuster mods and of course a new valving stack) were geared toward ramping up a very progressive bump stage through the compression stroke of the shock. This will double the bottom out resistance in the system over stock and prevent you from bottoming out the car on a routine basis, all with out sacrificing any plush ride quality! This is truly a drastic improvement in the car's ability to be driven hard and fast with out hurting your cruising ride quality at all. Rebound control is also changed to allow for more bump stage control of different spring kits and prevents the car from bucking in the biggest of hits. This internal shock work can be run with the stock spring package or with our Dual Rate spring kit. But, using our spring kit with our internal mods is the best possible ride potential because we can change spring rates to further help the car's potential and let the shocks control them in a much better way.

Dual rate spring packages are here! The XX has amazing ride quality from the factory. It is easily the most plush riding stock SXS on the market. It handles the whoops as well with very nice rebound and compression valving from the factory. The only two complaints we hear from Textron owners are excessive rear squat under acceleration and the car is way too easy to bottom out in the rear even under moderate driving conditions. Stiffening the shock compression adjusters helps with this but as soon as you adjust them enough to stop the bottoming of the car the ride quality goes away. If you run with a passenger, extra gear or tire in the rear the bottoming problem is much worse and even hard to cure by turning the compression adjuster stiffer on the stocks. With these things in mind, we developed our dual rate spring kit to cure these items while at the same time not sacrificing any of the plush ride qualities the car has stock. Changing combined spring rates as well as secondary spring rates and when the cross over rings engage that secondary spring are all ways we accomplished this. If you love your XX but want more help in the bottom out area with out sacrificing your plush ride quality then our spring kits are for you. Our spring kits can be run your stock shock internals giving you an easy bolt on kit that makes a huge difference in ride quality.
